Does Suborbital Softworks collect personal information from my computer?

No. If you install one of our software products, it will not gather, store, or transmit any personal information about you. The one exception is when you choose to use the “Check for Updates” feature in the product. This sends your product version number to the web site in order to determine whether there are any updates available.

What information does Suborbital Softworks collect?

Suborbital Softworks collects two types of information: Personal information you knowingly choose to provide and web site usage information. Each are covered below.

Online Purchase

When you order online from Suborbital Softworks, transactions are handled by a secure payment processing service. Suborbital Softworks currently uses FastSpring as a payment processor and links to FastSpring's respective privacy policy appear on the purchase page. The payment processor does not share credit card or any other confidential financial information with Suborbital Softworks.

Email

When you purchase a product, a confirmation email will be sent to you providing you with a license key. A copy of the email is also sent to Suborbital Softworks for record keeping. Also, if you send a support request or any other email to Suborbital Softworks, Suborbital Softworks may retain the content of the email messages together with your email address.

Cookie usage and Logs

We do not make any use of browser cookies. But like many web sites, this site uses web server logs to collect basic info about how this sites is used, including which pages were visited, what what sites referred you to this site, and time spent on our site. These log files are deleted regularly (currently after 14 days).

Sharing information with third parties

Suborbital Softworks does not share or sell any personal information to 3rd parties.

New product announcements and update information

Suborbital Softworks occasionally sends out information to current customers regarding product updates - including new releases and bug fixes. You receive these emails only if you sign up for our newsletter.

Right to be forgotten & accessing your data

You have the so called "right to be forgotten". You can request us to delete all your personal data we have stored. You also have the right to request a copy of your personal data we have stored. You can request both via support@suborbital.io. Please note that deleting your customer data will make it impossible for us to recover lost license keys or offer existing customer upgrade pricing to you.
